Rep. George Santos Has Been Charged With 13 Charges Of Fraud And Financial Offences
Rep. George Santos, the rookie Republican congressman that have many lies become a national humor,
and has been charged with a slew of financial offences in court documents released Wednesday.
Santos, 34, surrendering to federal officials early Wednesday along with is scheduled
to make an appearance in federal court in Central Islip, Long Island, later that day.
He has been accused with fraud, money laundering, theft of public funds, as well as false claims, according to officials.
Earlier messages requesting response from the congressman and his lawyer were not returned.
Santos is accused of scamming potential campaign contributors and the state of New York, as well as lying to the House Committee on Ethics.
